Both the artist's father John Dykman and uncle Henry Dykman were also flower painters who provided her with tuition but her technique is the best. Her speciality is roses. She has developed quite a following over the years. She is South African but at one point had a studio in La Jolla, San Diego, U.S.A..
She has exhibited widely in the UK, Switzerland, USA and SA.
She is represented in numerous collections including the Museum of Modern Art in New York ( The Dictionary of South African Painters and Sculptors by Ogilvie).
