Jeanette Dykman was born in 1938. She is one of South Africa's top "flower painters". She has a huge following.

Esme Berman featured her on page 168 and an illustration on page 170 of her bible Art and Artists of South Africa.

She came from a large family of artists. Both her father and uncle were listed still life artists and taught her from an early age.

She was also taught by George Boys.  She has been exhibiting since the early 70s at venues including Palace Gstad, Switzerland, Drian Gallery , London, South Africa House, London and many many others.

Her exposure to the London market led to a more profound realization of flower themes, according to Esme Berman.

She is in many collections including Wits, and even Museum of Modern Art, New York!

At one time she had a studio in La Jolla, California, USA.
