Freebies !
I'll throw in the following as part of the deal :
* The genuine Jetmaster cast-iron griddle plate (aka "steak plate") : 48cm wide x 40cm deep, smooth on one side, ridged on the other. The griddle plate is tailor-made for this braai and perfect for cooking "unsmoked" steak, fish, or a killer brekker. It costs about R600 new from Jetmaster.
* A partially-full 9kg Afrox exchangeable gas bottle : with the R170 deposit, that's worth about R300 alone.
* With these two extras, you can cook your first meal the same day!
Comparative pricing :
* The PV4 is the current comparable model in the Jetmaster range and sells for about R7500 (see here), but it has only 4 burners and is not 100% stainless steel - it has some black epoxy sections and doesn't look quite as spiff.
* In the Alva range, see the 6+1 burner Alva Rio here for about R10 000 with no gas bottle.
* Also see the 5+1 burner Alva Apollo here for about R11 000 with no gas bottle or steak plate.
Condition :
* Condition - about 2 years old, visibly used, but in excellent condition and very clean.
* If you're concerned about cleanliness on a "second-hand" braai, don't be - this unit is near spotless.
Other comments :
* The all-stainless GT5S-S was a Jetmaster special edition and only a limited quantity were made.
* The PV4 is the nearest Jetmaster current model but has only 4 burners and is not fully stainless steel.
* This braai is great for breakfasts and also does a mean pizza with the hood closed !
* One of the many great things about this braai is that virtually EVERYTHING is stainless steel - it's pretty easy to clean. You can scrub as hard as you need to, and there's no paint, enamel or plastic to get damaged.
* Reason for selling : we have plans for a new patio and this BBQ doesn't feature any more.
* For practical reasons, it would make most sense if the buyer is within driving distance of Pretoria.
