FANTASTICAL 'JEWELLERY ART' STERLING SILVER RING - GREEN AMETHYST, BLACK OPALS AND EMERALD ACCENT 3D DESIGN
This piece falls into the 'jewellery art' category. The ring is one that you could imagine a Woodland Sprite wearing: beautifully hand-crafted in gunmetal-hued sterling silver, accented by gold-hued areas, the featured gemstone is a marquise-cut natural green amethyst of the palest green, claw set vertically amongst leaves, twigs and flowers, where the openwork adds to the design. In the centre of one of the flowers is a small round cut earth-mined green emerald, and round black opal cabochons that have the appearance of little berries. The ring head measures 24mm wide x 27mm long and reaches a splendid 13mm above the finger! The design is tactile and 3D in effect. The shank is simple and narrow under the finger, with a wavy embellishment starting quite low down. The piece bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver, and weighs a hefty 11.43 grams. Please note the fairly large ring size - 10 (or T 1/2 in SA or British sizing). A most unusual piece of handcrafted jewellery.
