- Jie Keramik  was founded in 1942 by John Ewert 'Jie' Johnson. 
- The company moved to a larger location in Gantofta in 1944.
- In the mid 60's the company stopped production of household goods and switched to decorative goods and it was then that the first designer was hired, Elsi Bourelius,  she was known mainly for her designs of ceramic female figures. 
- Elsi Bourelius was born in 1919 and died 2001. She studied at " Belle Arte" from 1929 to 1934.
- the vase measures approx 29cm high × 11.5cm diameter
