Jill is persuaded to form a riding club during the summer holidays, and a lot of local children are interested, some good riders and others not so good. But Jill soon finds that it is by no means easy to organise events to please everybody, and she also has trouble finding a field in which to hold the club. But despite all the difficulties, the club flourishes, and the high spot of their activities is a successful gymkhana.
