I absolutely loved the characters and how they hunted together and shared everything they needed. Warm fires, food, companionship, love and understanding were enough to bond Jock and FitzPatrick together in what would have otherwise been a lonely life. Although Jock of the Bushveld is a childrens story, I recommend Patricia Furstenbergs tale to anyone of any age because it is an easy read that is easy to identify with and understand, as well as the positive messages within the text that are a strong indicator of how anyone can benefit from a love born of a second chance.
