A Medal to Commemorate the Centenary (1879-1979) of the Battle of Rorke's Drift during the Zulu War and John Chard, VC.

Gold. Stamp on the edge with hallmarks for 18ct Gold. Also on the edge, the issue number 28 of a maximum mintage of 2,500.

Diameter 35.1 mm. Mass 24.4 gm. Actual gold weight 0.58 Troy ounces. Comes encapsulated inside the original case of issue. The certificate is missing. The certificate shown in the images is for another medal,
