Very fine detail, interesting technique. Two figures walking in a wintry scene in Stellenbosch next to an old white wall.

Watercolour is in excellent unfaded bright condition and is 28 x 35 cm. Original gold metal frame is in excellent condition and is 48 x 56 cm. Please note picture does not have glass, so no risk in transport. I will pack well to avoid damaging the watercolour.

The previous owner of the painter UCT drama lecturer John Caviggia, acquired it at an auction for the Democratic Party in 1987. He outbid South African artist Sheila Geffen to get the painting.

John Cullingworth is a skilled professional artist whose work who is represented at the Cape Gallery and has been represented at the Robertson Gallery, among many others. He is also a trained graphic designer and has a meticulous style to his work with excellent use of colour.
