The painting is accompanied with a Lezard & Company auction catalog 5 feb 1945 (Catalogue Of Twenty Exquisite Paintings), as per catalogue - 'A collection of paintings of J F Firth Esq and bequeathed by him to his grandson, the present owner, who for many reasons, has found it expedient to part with this rare and interesting Treasury'
