Both tables togetherJohn Tabraham BrandingClose up of drawersSide by side view

These two side tables are John Tabraham designs. They are in excellent condition. They come with glass tops which have maintained the quality of the surfaces. If you appreciate clean, modernist design then you will appreciate the beauty of these tables.

John Tabraham was at the forefront of modern design in SA and worked closely with high end furniture maker D.S. Vorster designing contemporary furniture defined by clean lines and simple elegant forms. In the 60's and 70's, Tabraham is most recognised for his work with furniture maker Kallenbach. His designs have an organic warmth that takes it cues from prevalent Danish modern styles. The furniture was aimed at the top end of the market and sold through stores like Prosperitas in Pretoria. The annually published international design reference "Decorative Art, the Studio Yearbook", later compiled  and re-released by Taschen showcases pieces by Abraham, which hold their own alongside the best in the world.
