Rugby Challenge has the licence to every player name and likeness in the Tri-Nations, Quad-Nations, Aviva Premiership, Bledisloe Cup, Top 14 Orange, RaboDirect PRO12, ITM Cup and Ranfury Shield, as well as the all important licences for the All Blacks, the Wallabies and all the Rugby World Cup stadiums.
They dont have the licence to the Rugby World Cup, Six Nations or Super Rugby Competitions. These are all still in the game in some form but, unfortunately, the names of the competitions are different, the players are fake, and not all the kits are the official ones (only the teams they have licences for at international level). Training
There are basic, intermediate, advanced and professional tutorials. Each of the videos takes you through a differing degree of the rules, to ensure that you know what you are doing and for the most advanced players, it teaches you things you need to know to win in the highest difficulty setting.
The amazing thing about the training feature is that you get the opportunity to practice while the game is loading. You can skip the screen as soon as the game has loaded or you can practice any aspect of the game for as long as you need. A great little feature.
Career mode
This is where things really get exciting. You can create a player and put him in any team in any competition in world rugby and play a 13 year career mode with that team. You can choose just to play club rugby, just to play international rugby or you can play seasons that include both. Your player visibly ages as the seasons go by and a season includes every competition that exists in real life. It¿¿s quite astonishing. You can also transfer your player between clubs at the end of a season. In addition, if you take control of a team in career mode, you can also transfer players from other teams into your team between seasons.
