A striking ginger jar by the company Jones & MIddleton Ltd. from Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire.
The pattern is called "American Rose" which may (or may not) refer to the American actress, Elizabeth Turner.
The jar is 16.2cm high without the lid and 21cm with the lid. The opening is about 6.8cm across. At its broadest point, the jar is 13-14cm wide.
The jar is in very good condition for its age with no chips or cracks but is covered completely in fine grazing. The lid is likewise covered in grazing and has a tiny nick on the inside of the rim (see the last photo).
