- A COLLECTION OF 6 KNIVES AND FORKS, CUTLERS TO HIS MAJESTY KING GEORGE

 

A selection of 6 knives and 6 forks. The knives have silver plated handles and stainless steel blades.

 

On the blades, the legend reads Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Cutlers to his Majesty, Sheffield England.
According to my research Joseph Rodgers & Sons
were appointed cutlers to His Majesty King George IV in 1821.


 

The dinner knives measure 25cm long 
The forks are dessert forks and measure 18cm long.
Ample signs of usage displayed in light scratches and some small dents,
but in general silver plate good
Makers marks as above
