Hardcover first published 1961 by Vallentine Mitchell, no jacket. The boards are lightly faded, with some wear and bumps to the edges, and small frays to the head and foot of the spine covering. Page 17 has a gouge / tear to it, that diminishes over the following pages, and disappears by page 26.The first end-paper containing the author's dedication has a sticky-tape mark. The pages are otherwise clean and unmarked.
