This is a breakout module using the Playstation2 Analog joystick. A lot of robot projects use joysticks. This module can provide an affordable solution for that. Simply connect the X and Y pins to two Analog inputs on the Arduino and the robot is now at your command. It also has a push in switch pin marked KEY that is connected to a digital pin on the Arduino. The module uses a Phillips two-way rocker 10K resistor. Resistance varies when the joystick is moved in different directions. This module uses a 5V supply. With the joystick in the centre position the X and Y pins show voltages of about 2.5V. When the position is changed the voltage increases up to a maximum of 5V and decreases to 0V in the opposite direction.
