This seller is in France, has no real positive seller's record, insists to be paid in hard currency without pre-invoice, refuses to negotiate, even if my view is supported by BorB salesstaff. I advice not to trust this person. Better a negative rating then losing my money!
Wholecell was contacted repeatedly, but he failed to make verbal contact over a 4 week period. Even speaking to his wife and leaving a contact number, a last minute challange to provide the laptop at the agreed price 2 weeks later failed. This seller certainly can not be trusted.
Bought his Toshiba Tecra DVD laptop, paid, received the unit, but had to return it a week later on request of the SAPolice, as the unit turned out to be stolen. I received a refund, but a promissed alternative offer was never made.
Nouserid seems to have a very unreliable source of laptop supplies.
1-He only paid after receiving the unit; 2-I traced the previous owner & reported it to SAPS/insurance; 3-i only promised to try & buy the laptop back (at my loss) from insurance, not replace it (it was sold internally according to the detective) Responded 03 Aug 2001
DonovanC failed to mention the absence of a cd-rom player, and therefore the stated market value of the laptop of R 3500 was overvalued by at least R 1000.
This user does not follow through with auctions. The laptop was bought for R 3500 in Febuary 2001, for that amount. This bidder tries to get prices reduced using blatant lies. Responded 26 May 2001
