What can I say that hasn't already been said - Gemsearch is friendly, thorough and efficient - fast with postage and supplying the tracking number of bought items. The Tanzanite is eye clean and pretty.
I would not recomend purchasing the opal triplets - The top coating of the opal is not sapphire, quartz or even glass - The coating has a murky look, probably some epoxy of sorts that does not allow for the opal colours to show properly - This is of course not Gemsearch's fault - I do feel though, that selling such inferior opal triplets should not be for Gemsearch.
Hi Frans, the des on auction did not state that is is a sapphire on the top coating, copied from the actual auction = A thin layer of precious opal, onto one face of which is fixed an opaque base of natural or artificial material. Onto the other face is fixed a clear, domed top to magnify and also protect the opal. The better quality triplets have a clear quartz top, others a clear plastic top. Neg rating is therefore not justified, i return it with kind. Responded 14 May 2007
I can't understand why 4 Kyanite pieces are stated on the auction that I bid for - and only 2 are actually purchased - This is very misleading. Bidorbuy should not allow that to happen. If there are only 2 for Auction - it should be so stated.
The auction was for 4 items - 4 Individual items. The other winners seemed to have read the add correctly and were very happy with the purchase. I even gave this client and extra kyanite(as a gift) as he only won a bid on one (Sometimes you just cannot satisfy a person) as he bought several other items. Responded 15 May 2007
Gemsearch is every efficient with replys and postage - This particular Sapphire is a eye clean beauty and worth what I paid for it, but not woth the retail price stipulate .
My apprehension about this seller seems to be unfounded - we have spoken and I can undertand that with the winter ailments in the family - things can slow down dramatically. I now have the tracking number for the first item bought and have been asured that by Monday the tracking number for other items bought will be in my inbox. This seller seems to be totaly OK.
I'm not sure of this person - as yet he has not replied to my request for the tracking number of my purchase last week Friday 27/04 - I have also requested the tracking number for my Wednesday 02/05 purchase - there is still no positive confirmation from him. He requests payment within 3 days - gets the payment within a day - then doesn't seem to care about this clients requests.
The item was send on the date I said it was but it seems that speedservices delivered slow.I do care about my customers as you will see with 100s of positive ratings. Responded 15 May 2007
Petro is a lovely person - unfortunately she has to rely on some one else to do her posting - In my case the items were posted on a Thursday after 2pm - (cut of time on speed mail) resulting in the items only arriving the Monday late morning. I wasted money on the speed post.
nice dealing with Dawie - obviously a reliable person. My only dissapoimtment was that my purchase was placed in a normal envelope - Awkward when handeling small gems.
HI Brusher , sorry to hear about your disappointment . The reason i use envelopes is cause i myself have lost some stones bought when opening the small boxes they come in . These envelopes are completely closed and glued . But i have taken note of your comment and i now put the stones in a small plastic packet before putting into the envelope .Have a nice day DawiePS thank you for your honest comment .
