Just-Chlor J100SC self-cleaning saltwater chlorinator

Main features and benefits
* Uses cheap pool salt and a small amount of electricity to produce chlorine directly in your pool water - virtually hassle-free
* Uses about 15kg of pool salt a month (at about R2/kg) to maintain 2ppm chlorine level - compared to about 5kg/month (@ R27/kg) for powdered chlorine !
* Produces chlorine directly in your pool water - no need to handle dangerous powdered chlorine
* Works when your pool pump works - no need to switch it on or off
* Output level adjustment alows you to easily control the amount of chlorine produced to suit your pool's conditions
* Self-cleaning electrode - no need for periodic cleaning of the electrode cell
* Convenient pushbutton "salt test" function - tells you when you need to add salt

Technical details
* The J100SC is sized for medium pools up to about 50 000 litres
* The controller is powered directly from 230V AC mains
* 4-stage output contol knob with additional "Salt OK" test function
* Resettable overload protection device and fuse protection
* Controller is in a fully enclosed metal casing

Items included
* J100SC controller in metal enclosure with perspex protective cover
* Operating manual (in electronic PDF format)
* Connecting cable harness (goes between controller and cell) - approx 70cm long
* Plastic electrolysis cell with internal electrode (this is where the chlorine is produced)
* I will supply the unit with standard 50mm PVC pool union halves on input and output ports - easy for you or your pool guy to install

Condition
* Perfect condition - about 20 months old. Fully functional and in daily use right now
* Reason for selling : I'm upgrading to a salt-water chlorinator that has integrated pH control as well

My comments
* Because of the self-cleaning electrode, this is a very "hassle-free" unit (non self-cleaners require periodic cleaning of the electrode)
* Once you've found the right output level for your pump's running time and the season, the J100SC is essentially maintenance free (no cleaning or adjustment)

Please note!
* Salt-water chlorinators require that you keep the pool water "salty" at about 0.5 - 0.6% (this is about half the salinity of seawater)
* Be aware that on a 50 000 litre pool, you will initially need to add about 300kg of salt to achieve this level.
* You will still need to maintain your pool's pH with acid and/or soda ash - on average mine needs only about 200ml of acid every 2nd week or so
