A lovely VS2 long octogon cut neon blue tourmaline with checkerboard face.

Under a 10 x loupe there is no visible damage to any of the facets. The gem has been well cut & polished and is classed as VS2.

Some very small VS surface cracks may be visible in some lighting. In a setting these will not be easily visible. These are quite typical in larger tourmalines and do not impact on the integrity of the gem. I.e it is not likely to crack further unless it is dropped heavily on a hard surface. You can just see them in the pictures and they are on the pavillion of the gem (ie the back facets)
