NB. You are bidding on a matched pair of brilliant cut diamonds as in the top picture. I have included the above picture of a diamond I sold recently merely as an indication of the retail replacement value of a black diamond weighing close to the Total weight of the two diamonds on auction.
The evaluation certificate above is NOT the certificate you will receive with these diamonds. You WILL receive a certificate of authenification from an independant Cape Town based GIA qualified gemmologist with over 40 years in the trade.
These is with no damage to the crown or table under 10 x magnification. There are some small (VS) pits on the pavillion (back facets). As the gems are opaque, these are not visible from the face of the diamonds.
Black diamonds are a hot new fashion in jewerly as they look great coupled with white diamonds or gems such as rubies, sapphires or emeralds. They also look stunning set in either gold or platinum. Black diamonds have all the properties of white diamond but take 2 - 5 times longer to cut.
