This is the same gem photographed in daylight (blue/violet) and incandescent light (violet/blue). My gemmologist has classed it as predominantly blue.
Looking under a 10 x loupe the gem has an excellent cut and polish. The gem is classed as Internally Flawless. Under 10 x magnification you will see 1 VVS chip on a pavilion facet and one on a crown facet. The gem is 99% eye clean and the VVS crown flaw is only visible at one light angle on close inspection if you know where to look. It has a nice deep Pavillion which means good fire on the table!
This Tanzanite comes with an independant certificate of Authenticity. This certificate is laminated and has the details as below plus full contact details of the GIA qualified gemmologist. It is NOT an evaluation certificate (i.e no retail replacement value is given. It merely confirms that the gem is a genuine Tanzanite with the details as given) If you want a full evaluation certificate I can organise one for an extra R200.
