A brilliant vivid blue diamond matching pair. They are natural (ie real and not lab created) diamonds that have been bombarded/irradiated to produce this blue colour. The process alters the colour of the gem throughout (i.e not just the surface) and the process is permanent and irreversable.
The diamonds are classed as SI2. To my eye they are 95%+ eye clean with the inclusions really only noticable with a 10 x loupe. They are well cut with no visible damage under 10 x magnification. The right hand picture is a stock /generic photo - your eye will not see any difference but the gems in this picture are probably VVS or VS1. The left hand picture is my picture of the actual gems - It makes the gems look rather dark and dull - They are NOT. They have a gorgeous dazzling blue fire. You won't go wrong in judging the colour and quality of these gems in the generic picture.
They come with an independant GIA qualified manufacturing jewelers (over 40 years experience in the trade) certificate of authenticity. It is NOT an appraisal/valuation certificate - it certifies the gems as real diamonds with the details as given. The certificate is laminated and has the gemmologists contact details. A formal independant appraisal certificate can be organised after the auction closes at an extra cost of R200.
