Emerald is one of the most highly prized of all gems and good quality gems are difficult to source. A flawless, clear emerald is very rare and usually found only in very small sizes.

Nearly all pictures of emerald do not do justice to the gem (as is the case here - it is a gorgeous green and glitters with emerald fire!). The actual gem is more beautiful than the pictures capture. If you have never bought emerald on line from pictures, you will be pleased with this gem - Guarenteed.

The gem is classed as SI and it strikes the eye as a lovely emerald green. The cut/finish is good - one VS chip on the girdle can be seen under 10 x magnification. Emerald is known as a GIA category 3 gem where heavy inclusions are the norm.
