This is a big and S P E C T A C U L A R  Purple/Magenta Amethyst. The actual gem is even better than the pictures!  

 The gem is Royal Purple in daylight and Magenta (just hinted at in the pictures) under incandescent light (most indoor lighting) .  The face is checkerboard cut which always adds extra class and fire to the Table.

This gem is classed as IF. There is a VS chip which may be seen at certain angles/lighting. You can best see it in the left hand picture at about 6pm. It can be hidden in a setting.
