¿This is an exceptionally beautiful and valuable Hiddenite that captures the immediate attention of the eye with its Hi-end cut and luster.
Hiddenite is a very attractive gem, but is not common and for the most part known only to collectors. It is not available in large quantities and demand amongst people in the know has increased dramatically in the last few years. It is now a very pricey gem on the market and much prized by gem collectors. On the day of listing BidorBuy had no hiddenite for sale so you have nothing to compare with. I can assure you, you will not find better.
Hiddenite is one of two gemstone varieties of spodumene. The other variety is pink and called kunzite. Most Kunzite and Hiddenite have a deep pavilion (back facet depth). This is to take advantage of colour intensity. The colour and depth combine to give a sensuous and luxurious look to the gem.
NB - the gem is totally eyeclean from the table but transit damage subsequent to these pictures being taken have caused a small chip in one facet in the pavilion and scratches to 2 facets on the crown. The chip can just be seen with close inspection of the naked eye from the back of the gem but is in no way visible from the front. The scratches on the table can only be seen with a 10 x loupe.
Despite these, Just Jewels highly recommends this gem and I am confident you will be thrilled with this TOP class gem! Most Hiddenite/Kunzite is in the 1 to 10 Carat range. This gem weighs in at an impressive 16.20 Ct and is valued at $685 for on-line/web based shops.
