A glorious Golden Orange Imperial Topaz - MUCH better colour and fire than the pictures!
Imperial Topaz is one of the most expensive varieties of Topaz. Under a 10 x Jewelers loupe the gem is classed as VVS1. The pavillion apex has a tiny VS chip. This cannot be seen at all from the table.
This Imperial Topaz is valued on gemval,com at $954 for on-line shops. If you check - use colour #033 (I have checked with gemvalas they dont specify Imperial Topaz) You would pay at least 40% more in a retail Jeweler. If you use their colour #022 which this topaz colour matches, you would get $1466.
While there, check the historical value chart - unfortunately they only give values for the cheaper topaz (still $19/Ct) as rising 15% year on. Be assured that Imperial Topaz has appreciated more and that this is an investment quality gem.
This gem has a nice deep pavillion which adds brilliant fire to the table - This gem comes reccomended by Just Jewels as high luster, eye and heart pleasing!
