This is a high quality collectors piece - Mali garnet is difficult to source, especially of this top colour and quality. You are not likely to find Mali garnet on Bidorbuy (there was none on the day of this listing)
It has a AAA+++ Honey yellow colour and is VVS with diamantine sparkling luster. The gem has been master cut, and polished and under a 10X loupe there are no abrasions or chips on the facet edges.
I have valued the gem for on line/internet shops at R1,750. My international supplier, a qualified AIGS gemologist, puts the suggested retail price as $500.
Being a collectors piece does not mean it cannot be made into a stunning piece of Jewelry - as such, it will undoubtedly appreciate significantly in value with time and should be seen as an investment gem.
