An exquisite Oval Portuguese cut Blue Topaz.
Most Blue Topaz is heated/irradiated to intensify the blue colour and this heated/irradiated blue topaz may fade with time. Unheated Blue topaz will never fade - it is classed as an investors/collectors gem.
Under a 10 x Jewelers loupe the gem is classed as VVS1 (100% eye clean) with no visible damage to any of the facets. The pavilion is deep and the Portuguese cut (lots of small facets spiraling in to the Pavillion Apex) gives this gem an outstanding class and fire. The face of the gem has also been checker board cut which always adds class and value to the gem. Highly reccommended by Just Jewels. This is an investment grade gem - Much better than the photos.

I will provide my own photographic quality certificate of authenticity and estimated retail replacement value (R12,500). I have some 10 years university study and field geology experience and have been in the gem trade for coming on 5 years. A certificate from the Idependant Coloured Stones Laboritory (ICSL), who are the recognised experts in colour gemstones will cost R200 extra and will take about 10 working days to process.
