Black diamonds are amongst the hottest new fashion in jewerly design as they look great coupled with white diamonds or any of the coloured gemstones such as rubies, sapphires or emeralds. They also look stunning set in either gold or platinum.

 Under a 10 x loupe they are well cut with a brilliant jet black luster. One or two VSI pits can be seen on the pavillion (back facets). As the diamonds are solid black, these will not be seen in any jewelry setting. There is no damage such as chips or abrasion to any of the table facet edges or girdle. 

 Black diamonds have all the properties of white diamond but take 2 - 5 times longer to cut. I have imported a number of AGI certified black diamonds which have valued similar quality gems in the region of 2.7 Ct at $3,800 plus (approx R26,000.) This merely gives an indication of the reccomended replacement value of black diamonds of this size. 

NB. These diamonds do NOT come certified. Most Jewelers will verbally confirm they are black diamonds but a Laboritory Certificate can only be done in South Africa in the EGL lab in Johannesburg.
