  Green quartz occurs naturally in nature and is called prassiolite. This gem however is natural amethyst that has been heated/irradiated to turn it a delightful and sparkling glossy green . The process is permanent and irreversable

The gem is well cut and polished. Looking under a 10 x jewelers loupe there is no visible damage to any of on the facet plains and edges.
