An exquisite Pear, Portuguese cut Deep London Blue Topaz. Guarenteed natural Topaz and not hydrothermal or synthetic.

Under a 10 x Jewelers loupe the gem is classed as VVS1 with no visible damage to any of the facets. The portuguese cut is a lot of extra facets cut on the pavillion which reflects more fire to the table.

Swiss and London Blue Topaz has been irradiated to turn clear/white Topaz blue. The process excites the atoms and turns the entire gem blue. i.e it is not just a surface treatment. It is permanent (i.e the colour will not fade - at least in a few lifetimes) and irreversable.
