Karman Les Paul AlNiCo 5 Humbucker Guitar Pickup (Single) - Neck

Karman LPA5 pickups are great for most genres of music from pop to rock, do not let the price fool you, these pickups are great! The reason whey they are so affordable is because we at Valley Sound import pickups in bulk according to our exact specifications direct from the manufacturer, cutting out a lot of middle men, agents, wholesalers, etc. and supplying these direct to the consumer at an affordable price, we also cut costs by not having any fancy packaging or labels, all this is done here by us using foam or bubble wrap.

With this particular pickup we wanted to keep the vintage aesthetic and sound of a classic Les Paul pickup but with some modern twists, as apposed to the bridge position being evenly matched to the neck pickup iin terms of output we chose a much hotter bridge output, too get such a high output that will drive your amp with the flip of a switch going from neck to bridge, we chose AlNiCo 5 magnets over AlNiCo 2 as it retains more bass and midrange punch without sounding too harsh and brittle on the high end. This also makes our neck pickup nice and full and creamy sounding. The coil wire is a very high quality enameled copper wire supplied by Elektrisola. The output wire we opted for the vintage spec braided wire where the outer wire is both the ground and the shield and the inner wire is the hot. Unfortunately this means no coil-splitting option but we are working on our specialized Les Paul style humbucker with 4 chord wire for coil spitting so stay tuned! The inner bobbin is ABS Plastic as this component contributes the least to over-all sound but saves costs, giving us the budget to make other modern improvements that impact over-all sound and durability, like our base-plates that are cupronickel and covers which are actually brass that gets plated with chrome as apposed to chrome plated steel or other alloys that cheaper pickups use. This gives you more resonance and chimey highs. The pickups are all waxed potted to protect the components and to prevent uncontrollable feedback or squealing.
