Kate and Leopold is a modern-day fable that explores what has been lost and gained over a century of drastic changes in the ideals of romance. These two smart, savvy people at the very top of their respective cultures discover that love is not at all what they think-it's what they feel. Meg Ryan stars as Kate Mccay, a world-weary top-flight executive at a New York advertising firm. Hugh Jackman is Leopold; an aristocratic Englishman living in 19th century New York whose iconoclastic social views put him at odds with his privileged social caste. Through a chance "wrinkle in the fabric of time" Leopold is thmst into contemporary New York and into Kate's unsettled life, and once there, discovers his true love is bound to her own place in time. Kate is succeeding at business but is slowly becoming despondent and hardened to the world when, time after time, she is disappointed in love. When Kate meets Leopold she refuses to believe he is the real thing until it's almost too late. Kate & Leopold is filled with characters that just can't seem to manage their romantic dreams or even their lives. A powerful supporting cast including Bradley Whitford of TV's "West Wing," Scream Trilogy star Liev Schreiber, and venerable Tony Award winner Phillip Bosco as Otis join Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman.
