Ken Hunkin is a full time fine artist and art teacher,

Ken, started painting at the age of 17 and became a window display artist after leaving school.

He then joined PACT (Performing Arts Council of the Transvaal) and was in their choir.

Ken painted and was tutored for five years by friend and artist Johan Engela who was a graduate in fine arts from Holland and was renowned in Europe and South Africa at the time.

After this Ken went into the martial arts where he attained his Springbok Colours in 1970, but keeping his art alive by painting when time allowed.

At first Ken painted in the medium of Gouache before changing to oils which he now mainly uses and prefers.

Ken’s art is in Pvt and corporate collections throughout SA and abroad. He is represented in art galleries throughout SA.
