FEATURES As every chef knows, the texture and appearance of food is just as important as the flavour. When smoothness and consistency is critical, the Colander & Sieve is the tool you need. The Colander & Sieve has a rotating paddle which gently pushes ingredients through the sieve screen, and will purée fruit and vegetables, soup, sauces and baby food - as well as turning biscuits into crumbs and sifting flour.
Fine screen sieve - The smooth side of the fine screen is perfect for sifting flour when making cakes and bread, and can be sifted straight into the Kenwood Bowl for mixing. The rough side is perfect for puréeing soft fruits such as raspberries and strawberries, for example to make fresh fruit coulis as the fruit will be puréed and the pips are removed too – saving you a very fiddly and time-consuming job. Coarse screen sieve - Poached fruits such as plums, apricots and damsons can be sieved through the smooth side of this screen, which makes purée perfect for fruit fools, mousses, whips and sauces. The rough side is better for more fibrous ingredients such as rhubarb or bananas. You can also use it to process potatoes, celeriac and sweet potatoes to make smooth lumpfree mash.
