Extremities of hinges rubbed, with light scuffing to the top edges. Light rubbing to head and foot of spine, with some light creasing along upper edge of jacket. Mild foxing on inside of jacket.

Condition: The boards are not faded or stained, but mildly foxed. Extremities of the spine, upper and lower edges, including the corners, are rubbed (outer coloured paper layer of the wraps eroded). Corners still sharp, regardless--not bumped or scuffed. Light foxing to edges of text block; top edge heavily tanned, with two small faint brown stains. Substantial foxing and tanning to endpapers, both front and rear. Half-title foxed, with prelims progressively less so. All pages heavily tanned, especially around the edges. Intermittent foxing throughout, mostly faint and in the margins. Both sets of photographic plates clean, not foxed or stained. No inscriptions, no highlighting or underlining, no annotations or marginalia. Binding secure, no loose, missing, or torn pages.
