Kept - The Other Side of Tenko - By L.L. Baynes - Signed Copy

 First published 1984 by The Book Guild Limited, hardcover. The price-clipped jacket is otherwise whole, with only some creasing to the edges, particularly the top edge. The boards are square and clean although the corners are bent inwards. The pages are all tightly bound, clean and undamaged. The author has dedicated and signed the first free end paper, and there is also an explanatory note written in pen by a previous owner. The author kept a secret diary of his imprisonment as a POW by the Japanese in World War Two, and this book is that reassembled diary, written on small torn scraps of paper at the time.
