Some believe the evil eye is a curse or legend believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when they are not aware of it, often because of jelousy. Many believe carring an evil eye will ward off  the unwanted focus by these jelous people or visitors.

The evil eye is also known as mati () in the Greek culture. It is also often very popular in the Spanish culture know as  'Mal de Ojo'
