The Keystone RCA AV Insert is a modular connector used to pass analog audio or video signals through a standard keystone wall plate. These are commonly used in home theater setups, multi-room audio systems, and legacy video installations to provide a clean, professional finish for RCA cabling.

Product features

• Physical design: the insert features a female RCA jack on the front and is typically a pass-through coupler with a female RCA jack on the rear. To help identify the signal type, the plastic insulators are color-coded according to industry standards:
  • Yellow: composite video (standard definition video signal)
  • Red: right audio (analog stereo)
  • White: left audio (analog stereo)
• Contact material: high-quality inserts feature gold-plated connectors. This is crucial for analog signals to ensure low contact resistance and to prevent oxidation (corrosion) over time, which can cause "hum" or signal degradation.

Steps for getting the right amount of inserts for your project:

1. Determine the empty slots of the wall plate. For example, you want two 6-slot 120×120 wall plates. The total number of empty slots is 12.
2. Determine the actual number of inserts you need. Subtract the total empty slots from the amount of inserts you actually need. The value gotten will be for the blank inserts [click here].
