An authentic, vintage Japanese wooden pencil case with a sliding lid and a unique swivel compartment at the bottom. The moving parts are in tact and in good working order

This piece shows signs of its age and use, including scuffs and marks and writing on the base.

I did not try to clean it, since I lack the expertise, and do not want to damage it.
