**Khedives Star Miniature Original Victorian-Era Egyptian Campaign Award**
Original miniature Khedives Star, as issued for service during the British campaigns in Egypt and the Sudan (18821891).
The Khedives Star was instituted by Tewfik Pasha, Khedive of Egypt, and awarded alongside British campaign medals (such as the Egypt Medal) to British and Commonwealth forces who took part in the 1882 Anglo-Egyptian War and subsequent Nile expeditions. The star features the Sphinx and pyramids motif, with a distinctive crescent-and-star suspension. Miniature versions were privately purchased for mess dress or evening wear, making this a genuine period piece rather than a modern replica.
A superb addition for:
- Victorian campaign medal collectors
- British Empire / Colonial warfare enthusiasts
- Miniature medal specialists
- Historical military display collections
**Condition:**
Good overall condition for age. Original ribbon and period mounting are present, with clear detail visible on the Sphinx, pyramids, and central disc. Reverse typically shows original pin or brooch fitting. Please examine photographs carefully for exact condition.
A desirable miniature of a classic late-Victorian campaign decoration, highly recognisable and rich in imperial history.
