KIDS SANDPIT

Children thrive in the outdoor environment - exploring, playing, discovering and experimenting.
These activities are often taken up in sandpits, but this joy is often cut short by dirty sand,
leaves in the sand, animals that have used the sand as a toilet and so on.
We manufacture unique European inspired Wooden Sandpits with Folding Benches, all produced and
assembled by us in South Africa.
This Sandpit offers the child hours of healthy fun and discovery. When not in use, the benches
fold down to create a protective cover, preventing pets, big leaves and other dirt from
getting into the sand
Designed to sit above ground, the Sandpit with folding benches is light-weight, making it easy
for young children to use. It is suitable for outdoor environments as the wood is treated
against rain and insects. The timber we use is pine.
The Sandpit doesn't have a solid base as it is important that water can drain out of the sandpit
to avoid bacteria developing in the sand. We provide a piece of weed guard which is
placed inside the sandpit. Weed guard is a material which is designed for gardens. It prevents
weeds growing in the Sandpit and allows water to drain.
The dimensions of the Folding Bench Sandpit are 1.15m by 1.15m – but allow for 1.2m for when the
benches open. The sand required is 120kgs [silica sand not supplied].
All orders are supplied in kit form and simple to understand instructions are enclosed,
for easy assembly.
