I was honoured to receive the Thami Mnyele, Ekurhuleni prize last year for my sculpture “I can See”. The work expressed my belief that even people with physical disadvantages have the ability to “see” whether by use of Braille or sign language. I was asked to adjudicate this year’s Thami Mnyele competition and I found it an extremely enriching experience. I was also one of 30 artists to be selected for the Ekurhuleni Group Art exhibition this year

My aim is to express myself through my art, to learn and grow through my studies and to spend as much time as I can creating.
