Description

This Stainless steel bonsai saw from Kikuwa in Japan is ideal for bonsai artists as it has a lengthy but rather narrow blade. It has a folding blade, with locking mechanism, so when not in use the blade can safely be folded away. As with all such tools, the cutting action is done on the pull movement and no pressure should be exerted on the blade on the push as this will buckle it.

Uses

• Cutting small branches before final shaping of the cut with a branch or knob cutter.
• Truncheon cuttings (hard or softwood material too thick to cut with a scissors)
• Root pruning thicker roots leaving a clean cut to promote healing and reduce risk of wood rotting.
