he Kimar 92:
The design of the Kimar is faithfully inspired by the legendary Beretta 92 F 9 mm, one of the most famous pistols in the world.
Introduced for the first time in the 1950s, the Beretta 92 had a long list of derivatives, notably military, including the famous PAMAS G1 which still equips many reserve gendarmerie and Air Force units.
The Kimar 92 remarkably takes up the design identifiable at first glance from the Beretta 92, an important asset for its role of deterrence.
The carcass and breech of the Kimar are made of zamak (an alloy of aluminum and zinc), giving it appreciable solidity, as well as a weight comparable to the original.
It also has a beautiful bronzed finish, pleasantly enhancing its flawless aesthetics.
Its design and use:
The aesthetic fidelity of the Kimar 92 is also coupled with mechanical realism, since the alarm pistol incorporates the main characteristics of its prestigious model.
The pistol has a 10-shot magazine, and works bysemi-automatic shots with movable breechand automatic ejection of holsters, as for a real pistol.
The weapon even has a breech stop which indicates to the shooter the end of the ammunition available in the magazine. The latter is removable, also used similarly to a conventional weapon. The Kimar 92 can fire non-lethal, but very realistic blank cartridges, with flames and smoke, and a powerful detonation of 120 DB.
This show of force can largely make one believe in a real firearm, and dissuade the most reckless unwanted.
In the event of close contact with a particularly aggressive aggressor, the Kimar can also fire cartridges containing irritant gas, type CS.
The undesirable is then neutralized on the spot for long minutes, victim of abundant tears and virulent fits of coughing.
The shooter then has all the latitude to call the police if necessary.
Gun safety:
The Kimar alarm pistol is equipped with a safety lever designed for both a right and left-handed shooter, to avoid an impromptu shooting start.
If the blank cartridges do not have bullets and are therefore harmless, they can however cause serious point-blank burns, due to powder splashes.A safety distance of 5 meters should therefore be observed.
The pistol is delivered with its case, a swab and a rocket launcher.
The latter is a small nozzle allowing to fire alarm rockets in the air, in order to signal its position in the event of distress, or to indicate another.
French regulations:
Alarm pistols are part of category D of French legislation, recognized as weapons. They are accessible to adults.
