KING EDWARD Vlll MONEY BOX

These money boxes were sold as souvenirs to celebrate the planned coronation of King Edward Vlll in 1937.

In fact, he was the King who was never crowned as he abdicated to marry the woman he loved. This highly collectable item will interest anyone who follows the lives of the British Royal Family.

The tins originally contained 12 OXO cubes. As a child I used this as a money box - the slot exactly took a penny!

This tin is in fair condition considering the fact that it is 85 years old. I do not remember it being shiny, but always rather as it looks now.
