KING WERK GERMANY (1949-present):
King-Werk is situated at Hohr-Grenzhausen in Westerwald. Germany. This part of Germany is known for its top quality clay deposits. The company was founded by two gentlemen named, Friedrich Wuerfel and Edmund Mueller in 1949. From then on, they had started to produce beer steins that conform to the standards of Ceramic of world reputation. The German version of the phrase goes, Keramik Internationaler Geltung. The company made an acronym of this phrase to create a trade mark for their venture and the trade mark KING came into existence. The trade mark now stands for quality and authenticity. ALL THEIR STEINS ARE HANDCRAFTED AND HAND PAINTED.
THE BEER STEINS AT KING-WERK ARE PRODUCED AS A BATCH SOMETIMES OF ONLY 2500, EVERY YEAR. The reliefs of the steins often bear biblical and historical scenes and Greek and Roman mythological characters. Meticulous care is taken to make these drinking vessels look like the original German steins in all respects. This fact makes them valuable souvenirs, much appreciated gift items and invaluable collectibles. A collector will surely appreciate it.
 
GERMAN EAGLES:
The Reichsadler was the heraldic eagle, derived from the Roman eagle standard, used by the Holy Roman Emperors and in modern coats of arms of Germany, including those of the Second German Empire (18711918), the Weimar Republic (19191933) and the Third Reich (Nazi Germany, 19331945). The Nazi Party had used a very similar symbol for itself, called the Parteiadler (Partys eagle). This two insignia can be distinguished as the Reichsadler looks to its right shoulder whereas the Parteiadler looks to its left shoulder. After II. World War the Federal Republic of Germany re-implemented the eagle used by the Weimar Republic by an enactment of President Theodor Heuss in 1950.
