Jabuticaba is one of the most gorgeous trees that you can imagine for your garden. And they can also be grown in pots. It is magnificent display to watch the flowers on the bark turn into hundreds of dark purple fruits for you to enjoy. You can also juice them and make some wine.
They taste like grapes and litchis combined. Some people like the skin, others don't. I love the contrast of the tangy skin with the sweet pulp.
They are easy to germinate. Mix 50% Soil with 50% of the germination mix and keep in a warm area and keep the mix moist. They will germinate in a few weeks. They reach 15cm in no time, then you can transplant them into a bigger pot. Compared to all the exotic trees that I sell, jabuticaba is one of the hardiest tropicals I have.
