KING SIZE BED ~ SLUMBERLAND DOUBLE BASE ~ GOLD DELUXE FIRM ~ AS NEW

This bed is a luxury, good quality Slumberland king size bed. It has a thick upper mattress described as “More than seven times the number of springs found in ordinary mattresses ensure more support and comfort by spreading the load. Only Slumberland beds have unique Posture Springing. Continuous springs for continuous sleep”. It is firm without being rock hard.

The base is two single bed size bases with six plastic support feet each.

The mattress and bases are covered in an apricot to yellow coloured fabric with felt pull buttons securing the fabric and padding in place. The photos show the colour lighter than it really is. The photo with the tiger shows the colour most accurately.

This bed was bought for the guest room in September 2005. I think it cost around R5,000 then. It has been used occasionally in three years. It looks brand new. The mattress still holds its original new shape. There are no marks or stains and the bed still smells new. We are down-sizing so the bed has to go.

The starting price is low R100.00 so that I can attract a sale. There is no reserve.

Depth of mattress: 30cm; Depth of base without feet: 26cm; height of bed from floor including feet: 65cm.

COLLECTION: The buyer to arrange collection from my home. I am unable to store the bed as we are moving soon, so the buyer will have to make arrangements for collection as soon as possible after the close of the auction. Please be aware that the mattress is large and heavy so adequate lifting manpower is necessary.
